Introduction
History has shown that no community is immune to terrorism.
Both large metropolitan areas and small towns are subject
to acts that have potential to invoke a community emergency.
Older adults are vulnerable to such acts, yet they may be
overlooked in developing plans to address a variety of potential
threats to the country-at-large.
This educational site is designed for health and service
providers, law and safety forces, emergency personnel and
public health professionals. The site provides information
that will improve the community's ability to meet the health
care needs of older adults in the event of a bioterrorist
attack or emergency.
