There are currently two Emergency Medicine residency training programs and one fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at hospitals associated with NEOUCOM.

The residency programs, each three years in length, are based at Akron General Medical Center and Summa's Akron City Hospital.  Both programs are fully accredited by the ACGME and prepare their residents to practice emergency medicine in a variety of interesting and challenging settings.

The fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine is based at Akron Children's Hospital and is a three-year program with time spent across all disciplines of emergency and critical care.  The goal of the fellowship is to produce an academic pediatric emergency medicine physician who is proficient in the clinical practice of pediatric emergency care, an experienced educator, and one who is able to assume administrative responsibilities upon graduation of the program.  Fellows are expected to have excellent knowledge of research methodology and to publish a paper in their area of interest.
