2008 ALSO Course

The 2008 Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Provider Course will be held on February 13-14, 2008 at NEOUCOM in the Dr. Chatrchai and Eleanor Watanakunakorn Medical Research Building. ALSO is an educational program designed to enhance cognitive and procedural skills of maternity care providers to help them manage obstetrical emergencies The information in this course has been made available by the American Academy of Family Physicians for educational purposes. Upcoming 2008 Open Sessions of FAME

March 19, 2008: Jeannette South-Paul, M.D., F.A.A.C.P., University of Pittsburgh, will conduct a session to examine the impact of cultural differences on our interactions with learners in the classroom/clinic and to consider situations which disrupt our assumptions and beliefs.

April 16, 2008: Jeffrey Morzinski, Ph.D., M.S.W., Medical College of Wisconsin, will discuss a practical approach for enhancing academic leadership through the interpretation of organizations in context with curricular change.
