Welcome to the Family Medicine Interest Group

All students are eligible to join FMIG anytime throughout the year. There is no cost to join. The activities and benefits of joining FMIG include free membership in the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP); free membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), which includes a free subscription to the American Family Physician magazine (A real plus for clinical studies!); monthly club activities with family physicians and students to learn about the discipline of family medicine and career opportunities; attending and leading state, regional, and national conferences, and participating in community service projects, procedural workshops, and social and campus-wide events.
