Highlights: Assessment and development of academic competencies relevant to current teaching responsibilities; development of relationships with colleagues from a variety of disciplines; continuity and support from core faculty; experienced, highly acclaimed local and national speakers; mentored scholarly project Curriculum: Topics include but are not limited to: Education Philosophy, Education Technology, Learning Theory and Styles, Expert Teacher Interviews, Curriculum Development, Legalities of Assessment, 1-on-1 Teaching, Project Management, Small Group Teaching, Culturally Sensitive Teaching, Large Group Presentations, Teaching and Precepting Procedures, Eliciting Feedback, Fostering Personal and Professional Balance. Tuition: $2000 (NEOUCOM Faculty); $4,000 (faculty outside NEOUCOM consortium. CME: Accreditation provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the NEOUCOM Office of Continuing Professional Development (CMD) Requirements: To complete the program, fellows are required to attend all sessions (maximum of 2 missed sessions may be made up with the next fellowship class or by pre-approved comparable activities) and to develop and present a scholarly educational project.
