The Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center (WRGEC) is a consortium of the leaders in academic and clinical geriatric medicine at NEOUCOM, Case Western Reserve University, Bowling Green State University, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Miami State University. Established in 1985 through a grant from the Bureau of Health Professions, Health Resurces and Services Administration, the WRGEC is part of a national network offering diverse educational and training opportunities.

The WRGEC regions cover 70 of the 88 counties in Ohio including 33 counties in northern Ohio, 22 rural Appalachian counties in southeastern Ohio, and 15 counties in western Ohio.  In total, this representes 77.7% of Ohio's older adult population.

The NEOUCOM Center Collaborates with local health care institutions, community agencies and the senior service network on the following activities:
