Office Goals:

 

Undergraduate Medical Education: Assure that all students at the College of Medicine participate in comprehensive, high quality educational experiences designed to develop attitudes, knowledge and skills critical for supporting the health care needs of older adults.

Postgraduate Medical Education: Strengthen geriatric didactic and clinical experiences in relevant postgraduate medical education programs to further the development of the attitudes, knowledge and skills needed to optimize care for older adults.

Knowledge Base Enhancement: Enhance the knowledge base in geriatrics through scholarly activities in education, health care delivery and research.

Outreach and Consultation: Provide geriatric educational opportunities and consultation services to health professionals, appropriate students, health service providers working in community-based agencies, an older adults and their families.
