The Department of Internal Medicine is part of NEOUCOM's Division of Clinical Sciences. It encompasses the specialties of allergy/immunology, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general medicine, geriatric medicine, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, nephrology, neurology, pulmonology and critical care, rehabilitation medicine and rheumatology.  George I. Litman, MD, F.A.C.C., F.A.C.P., is the chair and also a professor of the Department of Internal Medicine. 

The Department of Internal Medicine faculty is made up practicing health care professionals from NEOUCOM's affiliated hospitals throughout northeast Ohio who volunteer their time to train NEOUCOM students. These volunteer faculty members model NEOUCOM's core values of competence, communication, caring, character and community in their daily practice and their teaching and mentoring of medical students.
