Special Considerations Unique to This Effort

• BS/MD program and graduate admissions requirements
• Enrolled at a separate university for the MPH
• MPH curriculum currently designed for working professionals: weekend core courses delivered by interactive videoconferencing
• Need to develop online courses to accommodate needs of students.

Proposed curriculum

• MD/MPH would be a 5-year program, with the student taking a “year out” between the second and third year of medical school.
• Students will apply in the first year of medical school. Students must have earned their bachelor’s degree before starting the MPH coursework.
• One seminar course will start in the second year of medical school.
• Two electives(to be offered online) and completion of the capstone experience will occur in the third and fourth medical school years.
