Netscape: Clearing the Cache, Cookies and History Files

The directions below refer to Netscape version 8.xx. 

NOTE: Netscape has simplified the process by including an option to clear the cache, history and cookies in one click. To do this,

• Select Tools | Options (Make sure that Privacy is selected on the left-hand side)
• Select the Clear All button at the right-hand corner of the window [see screen shot below). If you only want to clear individual areas, follow the directions below.
  

Clearing the Cache

• From the toolbar select, Tools | Options (click on arrow to open up all the options)
• Make sure the Privacy tab is selected
  
• Cache is the last option in the window. Click on Clear.
