CMEOhio.com Offers Free, Online Credit
The first-ever collaboration among Ohio’s schools of medicine has resulted in CMEOhio.com,
the central online Web portal for Ohio continuing medical education. The new Web site offers
quality online continuing medical education courses sponsored by Ohio’s schools of
medicine: Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, University of Toledo School
of Medicine (formerly Medical University of Ohio), Northeastern Ohio Universities College
of Medicine, The Ohio State University Medical Center, Ohio University College of
Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Cincinnati.
CMEOhio.com is the result of a collaborative project proposed by the schools of medicine
in Ohio and funded by a grant from the Ohio Board of Regents. This project is designed to
provide Ohio physicians and other health care professionals with accessible continuing education
that meets the needs of patients and the requirements of credentialing bodies.
CMEOhio.com is the health care professional’s resource for lifetime professional
development and, like the field of medicine, will continue to evolve to provide health care
professionals with the latest medical information and most innovative approaches to
continuing medical education.
CMEOhio.com houses online, continuing medical education that allows the practicing
physician to obtain his or her required CME credits, provide better patient care and continue
to run his or her practice – without the need to leave the office for an extended period of
time. The Web site’s content is directed at M.D.s and D.O.s, but may also provide continuing
education for pharmacists and other health care professionals in the future.
