The Faculty Council’s purpose is to maintain and protect a NEOUCOM environment conducive to the full and free development of scholarly learning, teaching and research.  It receives and responds to requests from the President and Dean for information, advice or opinion; is a mechanism for communication between the administration of NEOUCOM and the faculty; facilitates broad faculty participation in the governance of NEOUCOM and is a means whereby the faculty may give advice and formally express opinions concerning institution-wide issues; and is a forum for the discussion of issues that impact the faculty and for the dissemination of ideas and information.

The Faculty Council may also review and comment on all proposed revisions to the Faculty Bylaws; review issues raised by the Academic Council; and comment on or make recommendations to the Academic Council.  Voting membership of Academic Council includes the Chair of Faculty Council and four additional faculty as selected from the Faculty Council membership.
