Goal

In support of the mission of NEOUCOM, the Office of Faculty Development and the Advisory Group strive to help all NEOUCOM faculty to excel in their academic roles through the provision, communication and support of faculty development activities and resources designed to improve academic skills, the quality of academic work and the academic environment.

Objectives

Together the Office of Faculty Development and the Advisory Group meet this goal by:

  • communicating consortium-wide faculty development opportunities and resources
  • conducting faculty development needs assessments and  prioritizing identified needs for program development
  • developing, presenting, assessing and disseminating outcomes of faculty development activities
  • collaborating with groups and individuals around shared objectives for faculty development
  • identifying and using College resources wisely to implement faculty development activities

To meet these objectives, members of the Faculty Development Advisory Group serve on one or more of the following Small Working Groups: Communications, Needs Assessment, Program Planning, Resources, Implementation/Logistics, Outcomes and Dissemination. Click on Chart for a flowchart of how the groups interrelate when planning every faculty development activity. Go to FDAG members for names and small working group assignments.
