Application for Membership at Any Time
You may apply for membership in the Guild at any time by submitting to the Office of Faculty Affairs the following materials which will be reviewed at the next scheduled quarterly Guild meeting.
- completed application form;
- completed teaching self-assessment form;
- copy of current CV; and a
- letter of nomination from a current master teacher, department chair, program director, course or clerkship director or clinical campus dean.
- A Master Teacher Assessment will also be scheduled. This is a direct observation and feedback of the candidate's teaching-in-action in one or more teaching settings. You can view the various teaching assessment forms that are used by Master Teacher observers.
Following approval, new members will be notified and included in subsequent Guild activities with formal induction and recognition occuring at the Annual Convocation ceremony in August.
