Acceptable Use of Computing Resources The purpose of this policy is to outline the acceptable use of computer equipment at NEOUCOM without inhibiting the use of the information technology environment that is intended for the greater benefit of the College community.

Account Management Policy

The purpose of this policy is to provide standards for the management of accounts on the NEOUCOM campus network.

Computer Equipment and Software Support Policy The purpose of this policy is to define standards for hardware, software, and support at NEOUCOM. 

Data Classification Policy

The purpose of this policy is to help individuals determine the relative sensitivity of information on the Institution's network, and define the levels of security required to protect this data from risks including, but not limited to, unauthorized destruction, modification, disclosure, access, use, and removal.

E-Mail Use Policy

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the appropriate use of NEOUCOM e-mail accounts.

E-Mail Retention Policy The purpose of this policy is to help employees of NEOUCOM determine what information sent or received by e-mail should be retained and for how long.

File Sharing Policy

The purpose of this policy is to provide for the transfer and storage of files on the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) campus network, while minimizing/preventing attacks by malicious users.  Uploading and downloading music and movie files is illegal.  For more details, click here.

IT Contingency Policy

The purpose of this policy is to define the requirements for a Disaster Recovery Plan to assist NEOUCOM senior administration and Information Technology staff in the recovery efforts of computer and network facilities in the event that a disaster occurs that disables all or part of technology services. 

Password Policy

The purpose of this policy is to establish a standard for the creation of strong passwords, the protection of those passwords, and the frequency of change.

Physical Access Policy

The purpose of this policy is to define standards for access to Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine's (NEOUCOM's) physical facilities.

Remote Access Security The purpose of this policy is to define standards for connecting to Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine's (NEOUCOM's) network from any host. These standards are designed to minimize the potential damages to NEOUCOM which may result from unauthorized use of NEOUCOM resources.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Security The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for Remote Access Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections to the NEOUCOM campus network.

Wireless Communication Policy

The purpose of this policy is to establish a standard for wireless communications to assure students, faculty, and staff access to a reliable, robust, and integrated wireless network and to increase security of the campus wireless network.
