Tips for First Time Users of DOCS:

First time users of NEOUCOM D.O.C.S. please make sure you read through the following information this is especially important if you are using : AOL, MSN, Earthlink or RoadRunner for your ISP.

Survival tips....

1.) Make sure you are using a supported browser.

2.) If you are using Internet Explorer in Windows to browse the web you will need to have "Cookies Enabled”

3.) You will need to have all pop-up blockers turned off and your browser configured to allow for NEOUCOM D.O.C.S. pop-ups.

4.) If you have a firewall on your computer it may also interfere with your connection to NEOUCOM D.O.C.S. and may need to be disabled during connection.

Additional tips and troubleshooting....

Browser Issues --

If you use AOL, MSN, Earthlink or any other ISP that provides you with a browser other than Internet Explorer, make sure you read this page and use Internet Explorer for your browser. Browsers that are provided by ISPs such as: AOL, MSN, Earthlink, Etc. are “customized” browsers and in most cases will not work with NEOUCOM D.O.C.S.

Pop-up blocker software --

Pop-up blockers will cause problems for many of the applications in NEOUCOM D.O.C.S., email, calendaring, channel editing, etc. Specifically in email when you click on "Compose" or "Reply" in NEOUCOM D.O.C.S. messenger the first thing that happens is, a pop-up is created and a new window for "reply" or "compose" is opened. If you have a pop-up blocker enabled it prevents the pop-up window from displaying and making it possible to reply or compose email. Pop-up blockers can be configured to accept pop-ups from certain addresses. You will need to configure your pop-up blocker to accept "mail2.neoucom.edu ".
