How to connect to the NEOUCOM Wireless Network

Follow these steps to connect to the NEOUCOM Wireless Network:

  1. Launch a Web browser or click a link in a document.
  2. If your browser homepage or the link you clicked is secured (https://) , type in a different URL (www.neoucom.edu) to begin your wireless session.
  3. You will be automatically redirected to the NEOUCOM Secure Login Web page . Note: It may take up 30 seconds on your initial connection to the wireless site. Enter your DOCS username and password and click the "Login" button. Wireless access is granted to any NEOUCOM associate with a valid DOCS User ID and password.
  4. After you have logged in, a window will appear that confirms your connection to the wireless network.
  5. Our wireless gateway, Bluesocket, provides a logout browser pop-up window to speed up the logout process. This window is not required to logout of the wireless network.
  • If you have pop-ups enabled on your computer, you will see a screen in the lower right side of your screen that says "bluesocket - Click to Logout." Click the "Click to Logout" window ONLY when you are done using the wireless network. If you choose, you may minimize or even close this box without affecting your connection.
  • If you do not have pop-ups enabled in your browser, you will not see the pop-up logout window. You will still be able to connect and log out of the wireless network without the bluesocket logout window.

You will be automatically directed to a Web page confirming your wireless connection, with links to the initial URL you entered (or your browser's home page) and to the wireless networking information Web page.
