Sue Fosnight is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy with a joint appointment as a Clinical Lead Pharmacist at the Department of Pharmacy at Summa Health System. She is a member of Summa Health System’s interdisciplinary Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) team. Sue provides pharmaceutical care to patients on the ACE unit. Sue also provides education to medical, nursing and pharmacy students and practitioners at Summa Health System. She is serving as the pharmacy consultant for two National Institute of Health sponsored studies. She has served on the professional division and the legal division of the Ohio Society of Hospital Pharmacists (OSHP). Her practice interests include geriatrics and internal medicine.

Research Interests:

I am interested in research designed to measure methods to maximize function in elderly patients with chronic diseases through interdisciplinary care. I am also interested in research to document the benefits and adverse effects of medication in frail elderly patients. Particular areas of interest include research related to falls, stroke, dementia and delirium.
