Patrick Gallegos, Pharm.D.

 

Patrick J. Gallegos, Pharm.D. is one of the founding faculty members of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, with a joint appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine. In his capacity as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center (AGMC), he provides direct patient care with inpatient medical teams and through an outpatient pharmacotherapy clinic. Another primary role at AGMC is providing education for medical residents, pharmacy and medical students, and fellow pharmacists. His practice interests include internal medicine, cardiology and outpatient pharmacotherapy.

Research Interests:

Currently, I have a strong interest in healthcare education specifically targeting the interdisciplinary education model. I am also interested in clinical research based on screening and treatment of Internal Medicine and Cardiology conditions.
