Julie Skerl is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy. She is a Diabetes Inpatient Specialist at Marymount Hospital. Her roles at Marymount Hospital include direct patient care through diabetes management along with providing education to both pharmacy students and fellow pharmacists. Her practice interests include diabetes mellitus along with the management of various other chronic disease states.

Dr. Skerl has clinical research interests in the impact of pharmacists on direct patient care, in particular as it relates to diabetes management. She is also interested in research based on various chronic disease states in the ambulatory care setting.
