Netscape: Clearing the Cache, Cookies and History Files

Clearing the Cache

  • From the toolbar select, Edit | Preferences| Advanced (click on arrow to open up all the options)
  • Select Cache
  • Select Clear Cache.

Deleting Cookies

From the top toolbar, select Tools and then Cookie Manager

When you select Manage Stored Cookies, you should see the following menu:

To delete cookies, select Remove All Cookies

 

Clearing History Files

  • To delete the files which record a history of the sites you have visited, from the Netscape toolbar select Edit | Preferences
  • In the left-hand column, click on History

You will then see the following:

  • Select Clear History, to delete the files stored there.
