INTRODUCTION TO LABORATORY ANIMAL CARE COURSE

 
COURSE OVERVIEW:


The Introduction to Laboratory Animal Care Course is provided as a web-based training experience and covers:

  • Regulations and Guidelines
  • Standards of Animal Care and Use
  • Occupational Health in an Animal Research Facility
  • Animal Facility Utilization
  • Animal Welfare/Animal Rights Movement
The course is offered in the following formats:
  • Individual Training Modules (PDF Printable Format)
  • Videos - Part I and Part II
  • Power Point Presentation

Upon completion of the training, course participants are required to take a quiz and must achieve a passing score of 70%.  Up to 5 attempts are allowed in order to achieve a passing score, with the highest score kept as the participant's final grade.  Scores may be viewed by clicking on the "Gradebook" icon on the Course Home Page.

Non-NEOUCOM/P Faculty and Staff
You must request a guest account by completing a Request for Guest Account form at http://www.neoucom.edu/surveys/labcourseregistration.htm.  You will be notified via e-mail once your guest account is established.  The e-mail will contain your login and password for the course.  Please contact cmu@neoucom.edu if you do not receive a login and password notification within 5 business days of your submitted request.

FACILITY TOUR AT NEOUCOM/P:
