To effectively and efficiently develop, implement, and administer the  educational programs that graduate competent, caring health professions, with strong communication skills, character, and commitment to the community.

The Office of Health Professions Education (OHPE) supports the mission of NEOUCOM by coordinating and assisting with the implementation of the educational program for the degrees of medicine and pharmacy.  The OHPE provides service to the students, faculty, staff and administration by continuously reviewing and assessing needs and responding to opportunities.

OHPE achieves its mission by facilitating and assisting faculty in:

  • implementing innovative program offerings and executing all facets of the curricula and related education programs;
  • developing, refining and documenting program goals, teaching objectives, modes of implementation and guidelines;
  • establishing and documenting evaluation and grading standards as required by stated goals and objectives;
  • designing and developing innovative topic sessions, case studies, and tutorials as appropriate to program objectives and standards.
