The focus of the Office of Career Development and Advising is to provide curricular and co-curricular support for student development in the 5 C's; competence, communication, caring, character and community. This is done by providing faculty and peer advisors, professional networking, leadership and service learning opportunities, learning skills assistance, and individual counseling and support.

The staff members are responsible for career development assistance including:

  • Curriculum Vitae and personal statements
  • Summer fellowships, research opportunities and shadowing experiences
  • Student organizations and leadership
  • NEOUCOM Student Government

Professional Development opportunities include:

  • The White Coat Ceremony
  • The Student Clinician Ceremony
  • The NEOUCOM Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society

Advising opportunities include:

  • Learning skills assistance and peer tutoring
  • Individual counseling
  • Student wellness programming
