The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 is a federal law to protect educational records and students' access to their records.  It is imperative that faculty and staff are familiar with the provisions of this Act so that they can maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.  This website was designed to assist faculty and staff to do so.  The FERPA presentation is provided by the Association of American Collegiate Registrars and Admisions Officers (AACRAO) and the College has been granted by the Association to use the presentation to train our faculty and staff.  The Association requires that the presentation only be used to train faculty and staff, thus it is password protected.  Please contact the Registrar at (330) 325-6479 to obtain the password.
