The Department of Education randomly selects students to under go the process called Verification. Simply put, Verification is a double-check of the information placed on the FAFSA with what appears on your final tax record. Students selected for Verification will be notified on their Student Aid Report in the comment section, an asterisk next to their Expected Family Contribution and by written notification by our office. If you were selected for Verification, you must submit a copy of your current tax return as well as the 2008/09 Verification Worksheet listed below. The Financial Aid staff at NEOUCOM will then review your taxes and FAFSA information to correct any inaccuracies in the data. The Verification process must be completed prior to any financial aid funds being issued to you. Submitting the documentation requested in a timely manner will prevent any delays in financial funds being awarded to you.
