Category: Email, MS Office

If your email recipients see only part of your name, such as your first name, but you want them to see your full name, you can easily make the desired change. The display may show only part of your name if you did not type your full name when you first set up your email account. You can also use this procedure to change your first or last name.

Outlook1

To display your full name, edit your name in Account Settings.

Outlook2

1. On the Tools menu, click Account Settings.

2. On the Email tab, select your Internet service provider (ISP) (ISP: A business that provides access to the Internet for such things as electronic mail, chat rooms, or use of the the World Wide Web. Some ISPs are multinational, offering access in many locations, while others are limited to a specific region.) account, and then click Change.

3. Under User Information, in the Your Name box, type your name the way you want it to appear to people who receive email messages from you.

Outlook3

4. Click Next, and then click Finish.

NOTE If you are using a Microsoft Exchange account, you cannot change the display name. Only your Exchange administrator can make this change.

What PDAs are compatible with the DOCS Calendar Synchronization?

Category: General

The Palm Desktop 3.x/4.1 with HotSync Manager is supported, with these exceptions:

  • Palm Desktop 4.1.2 is not supported.
  • Palm Tungsten E and Palm Tungsten T3 devices are not supported.
  • NOTE:

With the Palm Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E, Palm has made incompatible changes to the datebook file format. Therefore, Sun ONE Synchronization 1.1 Patch 2 does not work with Palm Desktop 4.1.2, as shipped with the Palm Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E.

  • Palm OS v3.1/v4.1 is supported
  • Palm OS v5.2.1 should also work with patch 2 (except for Palm tungsten E and Palm Tungsten T3 devices), although it has not been tested.
  • Windows CE 5.x Mobiles Devices with Active Sync is supported
  • Synchronization is supported between Calendar Server, Calendar and Tasks and the above devices.
